Healthzilla Selected to KasvuOpen Growth Accelerator – Data Monster is Hungry for Growth

Finnish-Singaporean health tech startup Healthzilla was selected to the Future Health and Wellbeing growth path of a well-known Finnish growth accelerator program KasvuOpen. The nationwide program attracts a lot of interest from companies hungry for international growth – this year’s applicant batch for Future Health and Wellbeing Growth Path alone consisted of 68 promising health companies.

The 2020 selection focused on four selection criteria: market potential, team, growth potential, and traction. “The selections were unanimous and we were able to gather an interesting group of growth companies representing different stages and different fields of Health & Wellbeing,“ states one of the jury members, Arto Pakkalin from Bayer. This year’s jury represented different fields of the health & wellbeing sector such as med-tech, Pharma, and innovation ecosystems.

The program consists of two sparring days where selected companies get to test their growth ideas in a quick and goal-oriented manner with top-notch executives, growth experts, and funding specialists. Additionally, the sparring days allow the selected companies to expand their professional network and learn from other companies facing similar challenges, hurdles, and opportunities.

“We’re honored and thrilled to have been selected to this excellent program and are looking forward to the intense working days with the growth experts,” says Laura Ranin, CEO of Healthzilla. “This is an excellent opportunity for us to get world-class help developing our business to the next level,” she concludes.

Each growth track will see two companies with the most growth potential entering the nationwide KasvuOpen competition. The winner will be announced at Kasvu Open Carnival in Jyväskylä, Finland, on October 28-29, 2020.

The news was first published on a national Finnish newspaper Länsi-Suomi on April 29th, 2020. Read the article (in Finnish) over here.
