Healthzilla Quick Guide

Healthzilla is a cheeky data-monster – your intelligent A.I.-powered friend who helps you lead a better, healthier, and longer life through fun & engaging habit-building approach. He knows long-lasting health outcomes can be achieved through adaptation of a robust set of healthy habits that support your wellbeing, and he’s eager to support & challenge you throughout the journey. Furthermore, Healthzilla focuses on habits that can be easily tracked in the background so you don’t have to log them manually!

How does the app work

In short: Healthzilla chews on your data and spits out analysis and advice in simple human language. He will make sense of all your available health & wellbeing data from wearables and different applications, measure your stress levels, and provide personalized recommendations & timely encouragement regarding your daily habits for a healthier and longer life.

Our updated app contains a more sensitive version of our Stress Score algorithm. This works with most wearable devices, or use our fingertip Stress Scan if you don't have a device.

How to use the app

Just follow these ten simple steps to make the most out of your journey with Zilla.

  1. Set a goal that motivates you the most so Zilla can personalize the contents, recommendation, and your target set of habits accordingly. You need a different set of habits for weight loss compared to building muscle!

  2. Sync your data once you go through the onboarding. Zilla can analyze and recommend only if he has data to chew on.

  3. Check which one of your existing habits support your goal. Data or it didn’t happen! Zilla can only recognize the habits that are tracked and shown in your data.

  4. Accept the challenge to fast-track yourself towards your goal. Maintaining your existing healthy habits is a good start but progress towards your goal usually requires you to add up some new healthy habits. Zilla will keep an eye on your progress, monitor your wellbeing and response to new activities, and recommend new activities and habits to you in a sustainable manner.

  5. Measure your HRV daily for Stress Score using the fingertip Stress Scan if you don’t have a wearable device that provides RHR and HRV data. Choose a time for a daily reminder after the first scan is completed. At least two days of measurements are required to get your Stress Score. The app is looking at trends and anomalies in your Heart Rate Variability (“HRV”) and Resting Heart Rate (“RHR”) data. Anomalies like a sudden drop or a low trend for HRV or elevated RHR can indicate poor recovery from exercise, mental stress, physiological stress caused by immune system reactions such as approaching infections, or mental or physiological stress reactions caused by lack of sleep, use of alcohol or similar substances.

  6. Listen to yourself and log if you feel unwell even if your data says everything is alright. You can do this using the dedicated “I’m unwell” button on the dashboard.

  7. Check-in daily to see your activity recommendations. Zilla recommends activities based on your goal and adjusts is to match your recovery status. Intense activities for the days when you’re on top of your game and less straining activities for the days when your body signals poor recovery. If you’ve picked up the challenge Zilla increases the amount of goal-specific activities to help you build healthy habits that stick!

  8. Follow your progress in the today tab. The number of dots indicates the target level of each activity for the week. Each purple dot indicates the number of times you’ve completed the activity this week and each empty dot tells you how many times you have left for the week. Remember that Zilla will increase the number of activities and the frequency for each as you progress toward your goal.

  9. Explore the free activities in the app to build new healthy habits. We offer a 10-minute Meditation Timer, a calming 2-minute Breathing Exercise, and an Intermittent Fasting timer.

  10. Zilla is hungry for data notification? He hasn’t got anything to chew on, which indicates you either haven’t synced your wearable device or completed the fingertip stress scan. Remember to do this daily – monitoring your stress levels daily is one habit on itself!

Note: If you have synced your device yet Zilla is still roaring for data, please check the Connected Devices settings (upper right corner) on the Habit Tab. Sometimes these are automatically switched off after a while even if you’ve switched them on during the onboarding.

Trackers and wearables Zilla loves the most

The current iOS app works the best with Apple Watch as it syncs directly into your Apple Health data 24/7. Additionally, Zilla connects directly to Oura and Fitbit through their APIs – you need to remember to sync your data from the device to the respective app though to get the data into Oura Cloud or Fitbit Cloud.

What if I have a Garmin, Suunto or Polar wearable? Worry not! Zilla will provide you the same analysis and insights providing you simply allow the wearable app to sync the data into Apple Health.
